Not understanding French films and shows?


One of the reasons I started learning French was because I wanted to watch French films and shows in original version AND understand the jokes.

This is a BIG goal because jokes and humor tend to be tied to culture.

So learning to speak a language fluently doesn't actually mean you'll understand jokes if you don't understand the culture.

Because cultural references go beyond just words and pronunciation and speaking fluidly.

That's why I clicked on this YouTube video today:
