When I first started managing monthly promos for my creator clients, there were a lot of moving pieces. So I created a system to make it easier for myself: a monthly promo template. A document I could open every month and see exactly what I needed to do. When it came to writing the emails, they needed to be authentic and connect with their audiences. That didn’t just mean writing in my clients’ specific brand voice… That also meant using personal stories and details. One of the easiest ways for me to do that was to go through all the content they’ve already published. I’d look through current welcome sequences, old welcome sequences, old newsletters, and past promos. I’d also ask which YouTube videos they published related to the specific course we were offering. Basically any content I could get my hands on. Because even if a video didn’t get a lot of views or an email didn’t make as many sales as they liked, there could be a seed of something I could build on. A favorite song. A strong belief. Or a testimonial so good I could turn into a full case study (these are my fav!). So when I write email promos I never start from scratch. And you don’t have to either! Just because you told a story on Instagram, YouTube, or even in a past email… It doesn’t mean you can never use it again. In fact, if you do... The chances your email subscribers will see it is a lot higher. They may have missed the email last time. IG stories disappear. Fingers swipe too fast and POOF…your post (that was at the top) instantly disappears. But when people go into their inbox, they’re more intentional. They’re not looking for a quick, mindless distraction. So before you write a word for your next email promo… Try setting aside 15-20 minutes to do your own content audit. See what stories you could repurpose. To never starting from scratch, |

I spent all of August exploring France in an RV and I loved it! 8-year-old me used to beg my mom to buy me an RV so I could live on my own but still come home for dinner. So not only did I finally live out my RV dream, I also got to practice my French (been learning for a year and half) AND I discovered moules frites 🤤. Mussels and fries with a crisp glass of white wine on the side was everything I needed this summer. But there were signs for moules frites everywhere and I knew there had to...
I love stand-up comedy. Growing up, I used to watch Def Comedy Jam and Comedy Central on TV. Now with YouTube and Netflix, there are so many more options. So the other day I was watching a podcast where comedian Hannah Berner said something I knew I'd email you about. (Yup, I'm a Giggler...IYKYK) When talking about her first Netflix special, We Ride At Dawn, she explained how she initially didn't have a joke that paired with the title. So she reworked one of her jokes at the end to include...
This week I'm working on a campaign for my client's new group coaching program. Originally, they wanted to start the program in August but decided to push it to September because many people in Spain and Italy go on vacation in August. I think this was a smart decision. They were thinking about their leads as real people with real lives. This is the #1 thing to remember when writing emails. You're not just writing to 50,000 subscribers. You're writing to 50,000 individuals who are living full...
